F24 - Radius - Bench, small Oak Solid

The solid oak bench is a perfect piece of furniture for the small urban apartment, but is equally suitable for a children’s bedroom or a living room. Designed by Mot & Bergstrøm, the bench is intended as a flexible bench which can be used for sitting on, but also as a small table with a drawer for storage. The designer duo had the idea of reviving the classic storage bench, but in a minimalist design with clean lines and surfaces. The bench, which is 90 cm wide, 40 cm high and 35 cm deep, is part of a series which also includes a larger Radius bench from 2015. Both models are available in black and natural. Cushions can be purchased separately. Diana Claudia Mot and Isabella Bergstrøm are two new Danish furniture designers who both graduated from VIA Design in Herning in 2016. They started working together during their studies, after deciding in 2015 to join forces to enter their multifunctional Radius design for the FSC Design Award. It is a multifunctional bench that is both a seat and a low table witt built-in drawers in a distinctive yet simple design. The bench was subsequently put into production by FDB Møbler, which has decided to continue the unique cooperation with Diana Claudia Mot and Isabella Bergstrøm. As a young, dynamic design duo, they are keen to keep FDB’s legacy of simple, high-quality design alive. At the same time, they are setting a new and modern direction for Danish furniture design today. They are willing to experiment and redefine the role of furniture in our busy and flexible daily lives. In this respect, their design philosophy is a perfect match for FDB Møbler.
